    metric thread

just noticed on our HAAS tm1 when using VQC, that it wont accept a metric thread pitch! wtf!

i answered all the questions, typed in 0.8 pitch for a 5mm thread, sent to mdi, run, stuffed the job!
    checked the code it produced, S500 @ F500. - should be F400.
    offsider then tried, we found that it wont accept the decimal point. .8 = 0 , 0.8 = 0 , 1 = 1 , 1.5 = 1

any thoughts on this, or do i just have to edit the VQC code after its written?

this is on a metric machine, or is it just that the VQC prog is written for imperial machines?

    thanks
