    Mori MSC 501 control backup.

    I want to do a SRAM back of some MSC 501 control. They have the PCMCIA slot and I think a 18i control. I can't get to the boot screen the same way as other 18i controls. What or where can I find out how? It boots into tiny OS\2 software so something is different.

    with OS\2 booting-up, most likely a MSG 501 control. After power on and "Mori Seiki" Logo displayed, depress " L " (placed Sram Card in NC slot). Good Luck!

    I got to boot screen and after selecting sram backup option, it said no card inserted. Is there an option that I have to set first?

    would you try "M" after power on instead of "L". Placed Sram Card on NC unit's slot not on display unit's slot. Good Luck!

    I agree with dbstream, or quite possibly you will need to format the card once you installed it into the NC slot.
