Hello everybody....

Can anybody help with this alarm? 362 PG ERROR Z AXIS,it does it the second I try to jog or move the Z axis and is starts jerking back and forth, I've replaced motor and tach brushes already... your help would be much appreciated,

"jerking back and forth" - I think it's servosistem fault.
"I try to jog or move the Z axis" - try move axis with handle. If OK - encoder fault (check A-B with osc). If still jerking - servopack or servounit fault. Try set highest value of Kp.

It's a bad tach. You need to probably take it off and clean/check it.

Thanks for the Help guys!...after swapping servo boards & replacing the whole servopack the machine is running decent...not perfect,no more 362 PG error,every now and then it comes up with the TG alarm and I've tested different encoder units and installed new brushes (motor & tach),There's a problem with the X axis brake though, sometimes when I turn the machine off it releases the turret and just drops but I don't know if that would cause the TG to alarm.... I have to test and see if it's releasing the turret while the machine is running sometimes maybe causing to overload the tach? I don't know if that makes sense but just a thought, I have the VRL set at 24v, could the brake just need adjusting?
