    MV-40 with Fanuc MF-M6 DNC/Tape mode?

I have a program that will not fit in the limited memory(16KB I believe) in our MV-40. I can't find the manual for the machine anywhere. On our newer mori i would use the tape mode which has more space, but I'm not sure how to work this one. Can anyone help me out with this situation?

Should be the same, unless your new Mori has a MAPPS control, then DNC is probably running through the MAPPS memory. MFM6 wouldn't have that obviously, so you would just drip feed through the comm port.

Well the problem I'm having is it doesn't seem to work the same way... I asked one of the other guys in the shop and he came over and said "it's easy.....oh.....why doesn't this one work that way?"

Well, it doesn't work really makes it tough to help.
What does it do? What model is your newer mori? Is this a older MV40 with rotary knobs or a flat panel for the operator panel. How is you PC set up for communications?

MF-M6 is just a Fanuc 16. Nothing special there.
You should be able to set up DNC like any other Fanuc 16.
Did you get any progress with your issue?
