Since Mikini's manual and help are very vague. I'll continue to make this a more productive machine on my own. I have finally got a working probe on my machine.
Here's a video.....

I was going to try and attach a second parallel cable to the Mikini board and see if i could get the mpg working under Mach3, but, I'm very leery working with this fragile board, hence me adding a second breakout board.
I have also been thinking about a way to eliminate the main board and front panel completely. That's why i asked Mikini for the pinout of the db9 cable going to the spindle board. I can't see why it can't be done.
Another thought going through this old man's head, is a true RPM reading in Mach3. I'm thinking of adding some type of opto sensor and disk to the motor......maybe a way to tap the pulse of one of the hall sensors......
One way or another, I will turn this mill into a dependable, first class machine...lol
