Unhappy Mystery Chinese Mini CNC – Need Help!

Hi everyone, hope you're doing well!

I'm a teacher at a public school near Brasília, Brazil, and someone donated a small CNC machine to me. Since it's used, I don’t even know which Chinese company manufactured it.

    So what's the problem?
This thing just refuses to connect to my PC. Windows makes the usual sound when something is plugged into the USB port, but nothing shows up in the Device Manager. So right now, I basically have a very heavy paperweight that I can't get to work. ????

Just so you know, I've already:

    Installed Mach3

    Tried using the Novusun plugin

    Installed the CH34x driver

    Installed one called cncusbcontrollerdriver.exe

I’m out of ideas. Does anyone have any tips?

I'm new to this forum, so I’m not sure if I posted in the right section — please forgive me if I didn’t!

It looks like there is a label on the gray box on the left side of the photo. What does the label say? And are you sure there are no other labels of any kind anywhere?

photo? try a different USB cable, some are power-only and won’t transmit data, if possible, test the machine on another PC or laptop.

I'll try switching the cable and come back here. Thanks!

Since this was a donation to a public school, that label is just for asset tracking and has no real connection to the machine itself. Thanks for your help!

There are also these two other labels: one on the motor and another one hanging, written in Chinese.

    Hi everyone!

I opened the compartment where the boards are, and this is the controller board. Does anyone recognize it?

    Hello everyone!

I managed to solve the problem with this CNC. After quite some time, I discovered that this is a BL-USBMach type board, and to make it work with Mach3, you need to install the correct plugin — which is pretty hard to find. I’m not sure if anyone else will run into this issue, and since it seems like nobody here had seen this board before and couldn’t help me, I thought it’d be best to go ahead and share the solution I found. I’m also including a link I created with the plugin for this board.

I hope this helps someone out there!

    Best regards!
