Smile need help in creating outline

Hi! I'm new here in CNCZone and this my first thread and sorry to bug you people with some question about on how to create just the outline of an image or silhoutte to be used as a pattern or pathline for my Torchmate driver module? BTW, I am using an Adobe Illlustrator CS2, although I know how to trace but when I tried to export the bmp file to dxf and opening it on my TM driver software it shows error that says "no executable image". AutoCad works fine but the parts of the pathline for cutting were broken. I would really appreciate all the help I get here on CNCZone, thanks.

Use the spline command and trace with a single complete spline. Use a lot of points while tracing, and you can adjust the spline once it's drawn by moving the grips. When done, save as V12 .dxf

One thing to remember when exporting dxf's into the Torchmate driver software from other Cad modules is the control of cut order. Uncle Buck there are some options in Torchmate cad that can speed up the process.
