    Need Help how hot should steppers run

    Hello i am building my 3rd machine i am useing vexta pv-269 steppers and kelling 6050 drives the steppers i have are 2.5v 4.4a and my power supply is putting out 55v and i have the drives set at 4.5amps. I was just testing the machine for about 15 mins. and the steppers got super hot ABOUT 150-180DEGREES Anyone have any advice how to get them to run cooler? thanks jeff

    Looking at their website, the PV-269 is 2.8 amps and 4.2 volts. Try lowering the current to 2.8 amps or less.
