Need help with Leblond Makino MC40

Need help with Leblond Makino MC40

I have purchased a used Leblond Makino MC40 (1984) and I can not unlock memory protect. I have only some of the manuals for the system and from what I have read is that you press memory protect and the display should display 13577270, you then enter the same # and hit set. What happens when I hit memory protect is the display reeds,
blank blank blank 4. blank 0 blank blank
When I try to inter this I can not enter blank or (.) . Maybe the code has been changed; if so is there a way to set it back to the old code? I am new to CNC machining so I apologize if this is a stupid question can any one please help with this?

    Thanks Jerry.

Call Makino...I believe thier number is 1-800-MAKINO-4 for service. It should be a very simple fix over the phone, and shouldn't cost you a dime.
