    Need Help with rigid Tapping

Can anyone HELP with Rigid Tapping on a Matsuura mill MV-500. I don't have a tapmatic holder for a 7/8-20 Tap, so I need to put the tap in a regular endmill holder.
I know the standard G84 code will not work. G63 and G64 will not activate rigid Tap, dose anyone know if I have to change a parameter??
    Thanks
    Tony

I am not sure about your machine. Do you have a list of codes for your machine? On some machines that I have worked on (mainly Fanuc) you have to use a M29 to active rigid tap or there is a G84.2

Also check if the spindle or the spindle motor has an encoder which is needed to synchronize the rotation with feed so you get x mm Z-feed per rev.

From what I remember on the Matsuura that I ran it was a G93 to turn the Mode ON for tapping.

    e.g.
    G43 H6 Z1.0
    G93 (Mode ON)
    G98 G84 Z-1.0 R0.1 F0.0625 S800
    X0 Y0
    G94 (Mode OFF)
    G28 G91 G80 Z0. M29
