Hi all, sorry if i posted in the wrong area as I am new to the CNCzone. We are having a great deal of difficulty with our 11hp umbra spindle with atc. The machine is a multicam series 3000. We were getting an tool not loaded error on our old spindle which we were told by the manufacturer that the draw bar mechanism was probably worn and would need to be serviced. Well we did that and after putting the head back on the machine, we still have the same problem. We even swapped out the spindle with a replacement spindle and same result after less than 40 hours of runtime on it. Ix there something that I am missing that might help shed some light on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to source out the signal for the alarm?
Can you read the ladder logic that might point to a (switch) input signal that may be faulty or misaligned?

Hmmmm....Sounds like either you have a connection issue from the spindle to the rio board....The rio board is up in the same section as your belt that moves z-axis up and down....check to make sure that your connection are seated properly.

Also on the rio board which if you look at the pic here, is the small control board on the right hand side, look at the connection, which here is orange in color. There are three and they should either be orange or green, if they are black they need to be replace, the black one had a issue of not staying connected.

This is the 1st place I would check, especially since you have replaced the spinlde not once but twice.
