I just ordered my new Omni 1212 cnc router yesterday with 2.2kw water cooled spindle. I also ordered 4th axis and dust collector. Delivery date to Stavanger, Norway around May 8th. Can anyone tell me if V-Carve Pro is compatible with this machine? I am waiting impatiently. Any advice for preparations prior to machine's delivery, any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

V carve will work fine, worse case should be a few tweaks to the post processor in Vcarve, for which they provide a good guide. However, if you aren't familar with gcode, you might try to find someone who is to help with that step...but I'd guess 30mins would be worst case. It will take longer to figure out the rest of the machine no doubt.

What control system did you get?

I was dead set against a wire transfer and I looked around until I was able too find a company that accepted PayPal. Omni was great so far working hard to make sure I am satisfied. To me this option seemed more secure. Thanks!

I have a Vectric Aspire post processor I modified to work with a Syntec 6MA with ATC if this is of use to you let me know and I can sort out a copy

What control are you running? That might be more important. If its Syntec, then Lee or djcreagan can help (Can you send me that post djcreagan?) but if it is the DSP controller then I'd track one of the people that got that. Graham
