We are a small software house, we focus on nesting technology both for free shapes and rectangles.

I have developed a robust prototype to nest rectangles inside rectangles. It can be useful for wood cutting or other materials. It is available at :

It outperforms most existing solutions from material savings point of vue, but I would like to have your feedback about it. Is there some important missing features and is it useful ?

We do not support free form nesting in this application, it is only rectangular forms. Free form is not always easy because of import : files such as dxf are not always clean and need cleaning strategies : not easy to build a solution that works for 100% of the files. It is also more time consuming to obtain very good solutions in very short time (the computation time is only 5 seconds).

Our application just show how easy it is to build a native web application for nesting rectangles, this could be useful for quotation service or similar service or for some hobbyist.

We also provide a library for free form nesting for software editors that outperforms existing solutions on the market but major software editors in sheet metal uses our solution.
