    Non Tormach ETS

Just wanted to let everyone know that there is finally an economy (.002) ETS at a reasonable price. I got one of the Beta ones last month and love it. Sure beats spending nearly $800.

** However it's lower priced on his website **

I also have their start/stop/pause/estop box and joystick box. Not quite a pendant but at least it's something.

Now, if we can just convince them to do a passive probe!

Is it coolant proof? How does reproducibility compare to the claimed +/-0.002? What is the actuation force (I often use cutters <1mm)?

    (1) I think it is "coolant resistant" not proof.

    (2) My results have been more around the +/- .001" accuracy.

    (3) I shot Dave an email about the actuation force and will post back up what he says.

Nice, will definitely keep my eye on this. Touching off parts with each tool is quite tedious

    Just got this from Dave:

The actuating force at switch point is less than 5 ounces and the max pressure before stop is less than 14 ounces.

If you are using TTS holders and the tool table you can touch off with any tool and all of the other tools will be correctly set.
