Ok, I hope you all can help. I recently took a position where NX is the CAD/CAM of choice. I have a few questions. I know there is a Manufacturing Resource Library (MRL) for many uses. I have found limited inf o if there are prebuilt tooling and tool holder libraries from vendors ( Kennametal, Haimer, Harvey, etc.... ). Also, does Manufacturing Resource Library (MRL) need to run on Team Center, or can it run on the network? I did see there is a Sandvik plug-in, but it looks like you need a subscription from Sandvik past the free 30-day trial. I am coming off using Mastercam, where tons of tooling libraries are available for free. Does Maching Cloud or ToolUnited have a plug-in?

I would love to hear your feedback and may if you care to share, how you handle CAM tooling ( Mill & Lathe ).

Hello,
Not sure about TC and the MRL, it used to be required but not sure if it's currently required. You can get to the Cloud Connect Tooling manager directly in the Create Tool dialog; see image below. I created numerous tools and I use a lot of Schunk Tendo hydraulic holders, and they were not in the Cloud Connect manager, but when I added them to my library, all of them, as well as the default NX library tools appear in the Cloud Connect Tooling manager. If you need to, creating tools and holders from cad models is super easy in NX.
