My cable is working well but the transfer process is glitchy. The fanuc I/O cable is a 3 wire as follows:
25pin 9pin
2------------2
3------------3
7------------5
4-5 1-4-6
6-8-20 7-8
I stumbled across a method that gets code in but I am having trouble reproducing it reliably. I am using Al's NClite DNC program and it works great! I set the DNC params to 1200baud-software handshake-7-2-even-wait to trans Xon-10 chr packet-20 mls wait-10 sec wait to trans... The port is set to 7-2-even-none-fifo trans buffer all the way low. Should I turn off the fifo setting? Currently I am able to get the last portion of code to input. I discovered that instead of pressing send after LSK flashing, I could send the program and have it wait for Xon, then press input to start Lsk flashing and it would instantly go to INPUT. I guess pressing input is the Xon signal. Sometimes this works and sometimes it jumps back out of LSK, then I press input again and it goes into Input and I get the last half of the code. Sometimes I get an 087 alarm that I can reset quickly and press program then input and catch the last few lines of code. I am sure I am doing this all wrong but I would like you guys to straighten me out on this! (nuts)
Thanks
