Hello. I am purchasing an existing metal fab company. I have years of successful experience in the industry. Part of that success comes from the amazing knowlegde gained by listening to others who have experienced success.

Therefore, I am interested in any input on the following equipment. I will gladly accept good or bad information on the exact piece of equipment, or general information about the manufacturer. Obviously, there are many other pieces of equipment involved in the acquisition, but these are the big ticket items.....


- Hypertherm HD 4070 HyDefinition Plasma System

- Panasonic PanaRobo VR-008P II Robot Welder

- Cincinnati AutoForm+ 230AF+10 (230 ton) Press Brake

- Ficep 1001 D CNC single spindle drill line

The Hypertherm is no longer manufactured...but still supported by Hypertherm. What is it mounted on for a cnc machine?

Ficep customer support has been known to be sub-par. The machine may work ok for some time, but trying to get support is difficult with their 2 service techs covering the entire nation. Parts are also shipped from Italy - so don't expect to get those in a crunch.
