    i was thinking along those lines too the big prob i found is the dust from the cuts soooooo been thinking about going with hall senors and mags .....

    Check out Industrial Hobbies http://www.industrialhobbies.com/ . Look under products then optical switches. Really nice way to do it and keep out all the crud.
