I decided to overhaul a desktop cnc I put together a few years back, I replaced the steppers with bigger ones, replaced the Hobbycnc pro board with a new Gecko 540 and replaced the power supply along with new drive screws bearings etc. Now it appears from reading the posts my computer will not work with the Gecko drive because I have an add on parallel port card. This problem came to light when I tried to find a way to change it over to epp config. I am about tapped out in the dollar situation, is there any alternative. The card I have is a Rosewil. Works great with hobbycnc board.
Any help or suggestions would be welcome.

Hi Terry

The PCI version of this board should work if you can set it to address (Hex) 278 and IRQ 7 .... although I doubt if the latter is used.

I doubt these are defaults.

Thank you for the reply and suggestion, on reading somemore I am convinced my card will not work with Gecko, so I bit the bullet again and ordered the one from pmx that advertises it has been modified especially for Gecko drives.
