    Partner X Guide Way Replacement

    Hi,

We have a Partner X with very bad Y axis guide ways. After pulling the covers I noticed a bunch of balls laying on the bed. Has anyone replaced the guide ways and bearing blocks on any of these machines? I am wondering if the bearing blocks are pinned and if so, what would be the procedure for replacing the blocks? The Y axis has 4 guide ways, so I thought I could replace them one at a time to keep the alignment.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

    Thanks

you usually want to get the rails and blocks together and not just put new blocks on old rails
