I suspect that Tormach "strongly advises" this as a best practice, just so you don't forget to do it, and so if you edit the code later on and change the tool number, that you won't forget to change which height offset is applied at the same time. PP show still react in the exact same way, even if the tool change and the height offset are separated by a few lines.

To the OP: I seem to (vaguely) recall having an exact similar problem with PP earlier on. IIRC, shutting down and restarting didn't change anything, and think I ended up just doing a re-install of PP.

That is how I like to see it too. Makes more sense when having to modify code by hand.
F360 with my initial post did not but the tool number and offset on the same line. The offset was down a few lines. It still works with Mach 3 on the Novakon. Just looks different.

    Re: Path Pilot 1.9.4 released

I've been using it today, and I'm going back to 1.9.2

It's messing with my tool offsets. I didn't notice at first, but when I'm parting off for some reason it goes off by a tenth. After the parting operation my parting tool is not where it's supposed to be at all. I actually checked exactly where I wanted to part, and where the code was running it to on 3 separate parts, and after it started the g code, it just got all wonky.

I don't know if anyone else is having this issue, but I'm just going back to 1.9.2 for now.

Thanks - please tell Tormach. I will stay with 1.9.2 for now also.

    Carlos,

If a particular tool has already been loaded PP won't ask to load it again, rather it will go right into program execution.
