    Picking a Gecko Stepper Driver?

I'm (very slowly) collecting the parts and knowledge to retrofit my Enco Mill Drill to CNC...

My next step is going to be a couple or three Gecko drivers for my Steppers.

However, the last time I looked at them, there were only two varieties; the 201 and the 210..

NOW there are the 202 and the 212 also!

WHich would be the "better" choice?
I need "moron-proofing" more than I need super-speed or 50-millionths resolution (that my machine won't be able to hold anyway).

My motors are at home, but as I recall they are 760oz/in steppers, 1.5A.

    Would appreciate any suggestions!

The 202 or 212 are much more "moron proof" than the 201 or 210.
The G212 is just a G202 with a G90x daughtercard (step multiplier). Most likely the G202 should be what you need. The only reason to get the G212 is if you're computer can't output steps fast enough for your application.

Exactly what I needed to know!
    Thanks!

(of course, now I'll just have to practice being a better moron... I have yet to meet any electronic component I can't screw up if I put my mind to it!).
