    Planning out prop4848 build

    Hi All,

I'm planning out a Pro 4848 build and want to make sure I have my power requirements met.

I'm going with the Plug and Play NEMA 34 System - Can this run off a 110 20amp circuit?

    I'm also running a 110v Dust Collector and a 110v Router.

Can I do all of this on a single 110 20A circuit, or do I need more for CNC/DC/Router?

    Thanks!

I run my CNCRouterparts standard machine off of 3 circuits, probably overkill:

    1 - 110v/20amp - for the Nema 34 Controls and drivers
2 - 110v/20amp - for the control PC and Vacuuum dust collection.
    3 - 220v/20amp - 2.2KW spindle

And both of those 110v circuits have various other tools running at any one moment as well.

Only time I ever blew a circuit. I was running a Nema23, Hitachi 12MV and Vacuum off of one circuit. Was right at the edge of power for that circuit.

So I would say, no you probably can't run all 3 off of one circuit.

Yeah, if you blew the circuit with the router, Nema23, and Vacuum then I definitely need another circuit. I run another 110 and a 220 while I am at it so I can move up to a spindle later.

    Thanks for the reply!

    Hi Chriscos,

The Nema 34 system draws about 9-10 amps at max load. At 110V, typically a 20 amp circuit is sufficient to run this and a router without an issue, but I would suggest another circuit for your dust collector. It's a good plan to run a 220V line at the same time as you run another 110V line, both so you are ready for a spindle in the future and in case you want to run a larger 220V dust collector.

    Best regards,

    Ahren

Awesome Ahren, thanks for your reply! I'm still doing my due diligence, but hope to place an order with you in the next month!

    Thanks,
    Chris
