Does polar interpolation needs live tool?
I have oval shape part that I want to program using G12.1 but I dont have live tool.
Any help would be appreciated.

An End Point of a line on a plane has polar coordinates if the End Point is described in terms of a radial length from the line origin and an angle that the line makes with Zero degrees, that is 3 o'clock. Positive angles are measured in a counter clockwise direction. Therefore, the Polar Coordinate of a point of radial distance 50mm from origin, and of angle 45 degrees, would be 50,45. Polar Interpolation G12.1 allows the the program to be created using the Cartesian Coordinate System, a signed horizontal and vertical distance from a fixed point, and converts it into a Polar Coordinate at the control. Accordingly, Polar Interpolation on a turning centre requires a "C" axis. See my answer to your question in the Fanuc Forum.
