On my controller to my Dyna Mechtronics DM 2400. If I build a file to do a .75"w x 3.5"l x 1" deep pocket, it takes approximately 16 lines in the DynaLan. If I take a drawing with a pocket of the same size in BobCad V23 and process it with any of 3 post processors for a DM 2400 (not sure of the differences yet). It takes 581 lines! The code looks similarly written but it doesnt seem to be recognized the same. I cant get an arc to cut. I can see it in the code but something isnt right. Would the correct post processor (if that is the problem) do the same amount of lines as the original software. This is not g code I am referring to. The controller uses what appear to be canned cycles. Could the post processor call on these the same way? Sorry as I dont really understand the vocabulary correctly. I am still trying to figure out exactly what a post processor does? Thanks
