    Question Powder coating anodized aluminum

I wasn't sure where to put this but this seemed like the best spot, so mods please feel free to move it.

I'm looking to build something out of t-slotted aluminum extrusion and as most probably know this stuff only comes anodized in clear, black or yellow. I'd like to powder coat it a different color, also for durability reasons, but these parts will be big and I don't want to strip the anodizing off. Would it be ok to powder coat directly onto the anodizing after just cleaning with acetone? Would sand blasting with aluminum oxide help at all?

Yea it should work great, I would just clean with acetone very well. Be careful about getting it in the slots, powder coating adds thickness everywhere it goes.
