    Powered Quill????

Some time ago I saw a picture of a quill drive for a benchtop mill which had a stationary screw with a driven nut. As usual, I've misplaced the jpg of the thing and can't figure out the disign (sorry, microbiologist not machinist).
I'm having problems moving the 200++ pound lathemaster mill head and I am contemplating switching to a quill drive. Can anyone share information on how this design is configured. Are there plan out there for a simple quill drive???
    Thanks

I have the mechanical drawing somewhere that were drawn by the company that converted the Excello mills I have in order to drive the quill, they are large but I think I might have them in PDF but it may take me a while to dig them out.
You might be able to get the concept at least.

    Thanks Al!
    Another question for the masses!!!

I was on a ballscrew site yesterday and they advertised a system which was designed to spin the nut instead of the screw. It was the Hiwin site I think. Is this a common configuration and can the parts be fabricated??? I think this may be similar to the pix I saw a while back!!!
    Thanks - interesteing topic!
