I had a PM conversion kit for the 728 on order. However the lead time became too much for me and cancelled the order. I'm now thinking of doing my own conversion.

But any info is welcome. What is the "halls crew kit"? Where can I find further info or thread?

I just got a new PM-728 as well. I’m waiting on the halls crew kit. Has anyone drawn up a 3D CAD model of the 728?

My mistake. I meant ball screw not "hall" screw. Butterfingers on the ipad keyboard. The kit I ordered was the one from Precision Matthews, same as you. Still waiting.

Not a problem, just thought I was behind the times.

I'd likely want to re-make the X and Y end plates to tuck the motors towards the machine to save space. With this change and the delays from PM my current though is to do the conversion myself. So I cancelled my order. Once I get finished with my PM1022 lathe conversion I'll have to make a final decision, design or re-order.
