    Problem with code G0

We have rebuilt a Cybermation Plasma cutter to a Milling router, running Mach3. Everything is working fine with the motors and encoders. If I jog with the arrow keys on my PC-keyboard the motor jogs smoothly and nice to X and Y. If I give a command in the MDI-screen (like G0 X100 Y100 Z0) my motors start triggering and in many times I have to reset the machine to work again.

I think it is a setting in Mach3 (not motor tuning or something; that would also affect control with arrow keys or jog on the machine).

Can anyone tell me more ?

    Thanks.

what does " triggering " mean ? if you mean that it drops steps.. squeals, wierd motor sounds. i would just start out with a low motor speed, 10ipm and see if that solves it, if so, gradually incrase motor speed till, you start seeing the problem again.
g0 works fine for me... alternate way is to type the same thing with g1 f10 x100y100z0 to get a feedrate of 10 IPM.

ps also just typing x100y100z0 is the same thing as G0 (zero) x100y100z0

I meant shaking on both axes. After about 1-2 seconds it starts running, but many times it stops and I have to reset.

    Found the solution !!!

"Backlash" ! When you enable this option you can set the "startup power" of the machine (in % and how many steps). I've set this at 20% and 5 steps X and Y, problem solved !
