Whatever units you draw your part with in your CAD program is what LazyCAM should use. Set the cutting depth to a negative number, -.25 to cut 1/4" deep. Before running the code, set the top of your part to be Z = 0.

Do you have it figured out now? Your drawing is in inches, so you enter the info in LazyCAM in inches

Might check to see if your clearance height is set in negative instead of positive or Vise-versa. Just a guess. looks like you are raipiding to a Z 0 then machining above that.

Z+ should move up and Z- should move down. It sounds like you may have it backwards.

    Deep Breaths!!!!

Like Ger said, try programming the highest part of the work piece at Z.0 then you can easily see if your rapid positions are violating your part. Don't get discouraged, this is all normal in the world of programming, not uncommon to send an end mill right into tour table! Just try not to! You will get through it. One thing you can do is hit feed hold at the point that the tool is violating the part and read the program line, then you will at least have an Idea where to look for the problem. Trust me it is something simple and when you figure it out... you are gonna slap yourself in the forehead and say &^&*^$&&$&%$
    Hope this helps.

    here we go

The way I think of it is : in and out is the Y axis (just like sex.. in is positive!!!) the X axis is then to you left and right.... and Right is positive. That work for you?
