Cool rapid override when door opened

    Hi all,
I have 2 Kia VMC's bought a month apart with Fanuc series oi model c controls and my trouble is this:

When we open the door to load a part, on both machines the rapid override goes to 25% ....but only one goes back to 100% when you close the door.
Requiring the operator to push the 100% button for each cycle....and I can't find the right parameter to change this...
and imagine this....the distributor has no idea

    ANYBODY HAVE AN IDEA?

    Thanks
    Steve

I would guess it's a PMC parameter, not a Fanuc parameter. Did you get a list of PMC parameters, timers, etc. with the machine?

We just got the usual Fanuc manuals, and a Kia book with just the basics and all the safety warnings.

I'm not sure I understand. When you open the door, it goes to 25%. Thats pretty standard on all machines. When you close the door, it goes back to 100% or does it stay at 25% until you press the 100% button?

One of the 2 machines stays at 25% forcing us to hit the 100% button after every part loading.....the other machine goes back to 100% automatically.(which is of course our preference)

You have two options then, first I would check the software and ladder versions between the two machines. Ladder version should show at the top of the screen in the ladder page. If they are the same, punch out the PMC parameters and compare the two machines. There are parameter comparisson programs floating around, or our guys do it with Ecxel. Find the ones that are different and call Kia and ask what each one does.

I finally got the right guy on the phone and we are sending the ladder too them for a change or two.

    Thanks to all
