Mike,
Could you give me a run through on reducing nodes.
Maybe something that is less time consuming
Torchmate is the greatest and so is tech support, just thought others might be interested in this also.

I'll explain it in a common situation I see here.

Say you scan an image in, and you set the scan tolerances fairly tight to get the best looking object. The outside scans great, but the inside circles have a lot of nodes to them, because it traced out the pixels. To thin out the nodes, or remove half at one time, click and drag a selection box around all the nodes and turn them all red. Press the U key on the keyboard, and it will deselect every other node. Hit it again to deselect half of the nodes that are still selected. Press the delete key to thin them out.

Now if there are important nodes that you want to keep, hold the shift key down and de-select them before deleting.
