    Repeating part

Hello, I will be cutting parts out of large flat panels. I want to repeat the part as many times as possible on the sheet and have them cut at one go.

I use SolidWorks with SolidCam and Mach 3 for control.

I have seen an application that will do this but I cannot remember what it is called.

If anyone has any idea how I could do this it would be much appreciated!!!

    Thanks

Is this 2d OR 2.5d cuts or 3D? If 2 or 2.5 use SheetCAM and it's Duplicate option. You define your toolpaths and tools on the master object then just duplicate and layout the sheet on the size and spacing you want and the cuts are duplicated per tool (so you only have to do one toolchange per tool). It also has an "Array" command that will let you layout a whole sheet with one setup in rows and columns. Best part it's only 159.00

If you need 3D nesting you need to look at other options and brace yourself for the price!

in solidworks you can use linear pattern to copy the feature in one direction and then use another linear pattern to copy it in the other direction.
