Hello,

I am currently using ACE converter to convert my autocad files to g-code. I am milling 1/4 ABS plastic and I noticed that my milled parts come out very rough on the part side but very smooth on the leftover ABS material. I believe that this is due to the rotation direction of the bit and the actual direction that my mill travels.

What I would like to do is reverse my cut direction but the only options I see in ACE is the ability to reverse the arc direction from clockwise to counterclockwise. How can I reverse the path my mill takes so that I get the smooth edges I am looking for?

Try drawing the lines in the direction you want them cut, and don't let ACE optimize the code.

Is that the only way? I have my CAD drawings already done and Id hate to have to re-do them. Is there another g-code converter that will do this? Seems to me that this would be fairly common. Thanks.
