RFQ Delrin and Stainless parts for a pumphead

    Hi
We want to build a prototype for a peristaltic pump that would be used for pumping bakery icing. The persitaltic pump is a pretty simple design, flexible tubes containing icing are squeezed between the platten and the rotating rollers.
This is just a prototype, so if you see anything that would simplify or use "off the shelf" parts I'd be open to it. Assume that the fractional dimension tolerances are +- 1/32". Otherwise machined tolerances are given.

    Thank you

Am I correct in assuming the stainless will be 304 or 316 as its for the food industry, and the Delrin will be white?
    Thanks

Peristoltic Pump Quotes - Thank you

Thanks to all of you for your responses. We received a large number of quotes (around 7 I think) and most were well specified. It turns out that one of the responses was from a well equipped shop just down the street. This is a big advantage for the trial and error nature of prototyping. FYI, the quotes ranged from about $1500 to $3500 - material supplied including fasteners and assembly. Delivery Times ranged from 2 weeks to 5 weeks. The design was slightly simplified to have smaller side plates and the rollers will be grooved instead of the plattens. Thanks again to all of you.

    Notification of "Post Closed"

Yes, I second Square Tech's comment . There are a lot of RFQ's being left hanging, it is good to see that some Buyers take the time out to notify us Suppliers. Thank you for the opportunity to quote your RFQ.
