On my recently retrofitted Boss 9, at some point in it's life the quill crashed upward and bent the 1/4" metal plate bolted on the top of the quill that makes contact with limit switches. It's bent maybe 6 mills from impact.

I recently removed the metal contact place and re-bolted the quill to the ball screw to check for alignment problems. I notice that when I turn the ball nut with the pulley by hand that the quill starts to bind in the quill housing at certain points. For instance If the pulley is turned half way (180) the quill can rotate in the quill housing freely by hand, and when the pulley is turned all the way (360) the quill gets stiff again and cannot rotate freely. So my question is, is there anything I can do to re-adjust this, or is the ball nut, pulley or ball screw likely bent or warped?

I still get decent accuracy but I am noticing that the quill is getting uneven wear and scouring on the chrome.

Any advice would help. Thanks
