    Rigid tapping with peck

    Hi
    Making a tooling plate for my 4th axis. 6061 aluminum, 3/8 16 tap, 2" deep, .25" peck, 700RPM.
Stacked multiple G33.1 codes increasing the depth x.25". The first blast is .75" because it's going through a reamed hole for the first .625". Worked perfectly.

    HD version is on Vimeo

Bridgeport series 2. Used to have a Crusader system on it and I replaced the servo amplifiers with CNCDrive 16035 drives. It's a little old and sloppy but then again so am I

Looks like it's working well! Keen to get my mill ready for UCCNC tapping.

Are you using a servo spindle drive? or a secondary encoder off the spindle? Saw your ATC UCCNC vid. How was your spindle homing achieved?

Good work & Thanks in advance!
