    Schematic software

    Hi,
I am building up a CNC router with a lots of control options. The wiring layout is getting very complex. I am looking for the software by which I can layout the wiring schematic on a piece of paper. Can anybody help please.

Well what you want to do is create a wire list....which has point to point info....ConnA-Pin 1 to ConnB-Pin2 ,etc.

I would just use a plain text file.

Eagle Software makes schematic, wiring list software...pricey....I'm not familiar with any shareware.

    Electronic Schematic Representation

    Hi,

For network design, I use Visio. It has electronic, mechanical, etc categories of design graphics. Its easy to use and modify a previous schematic.

If you want to do an electronic block diagram for logic purposes, Visio would be a good tool to use. However, it would be difficult to use this tool for actual placement of wiring on a board or in an enclosure. It's conceptual rather than dimensional.
