    Servo Contollers, Which one?

Sorry If this has been answered before, I didn't find what I was looking for searching..

I am curious of people opinions of the UHU Servo controller project and how the different servo controllers stack up against each other? I think I can spend in the neighborhood of 150$ an axis. The ones I have looked at so far are

    UHU Servo controller
    Gecko
    Viper
    Rulex

Who else is out there that does step+dir for < 200$ an axis? (In the range of 150volts 20-40 amps)
Any personal opinions on the above list (or even not on the list) for a home cnc mill? Who beside Viper does the auto-tuning and is that something I should look for?
Sorry for so many questions in one post

    Bryan

Out of the ones you listed I would go with the Viper, I have read good reports about it. I will be buying 3 in a few months for a Bridgeport.
