I have servos on my router build and they are rated for 60v maximum voltage. my power supply puts out about 65v. The motors seem to work ok and they always feel cool, but I cant get them to run anywhere near the rated rpm. Could running higher than maximum voltage somehow cause them run slower? Seems it would be the opposite to me. Any info appreciated

RPM is dependent on voltage and the recommended P.S. voltage is usually a minimum of rated motor voltage +10% so you should be just at bare minimum of the recommended.
The drives may not be getting the maximum command from the controller?

If you are running Mach, you are limited by the pulse out put, this is what controls the speed,of your servos The higher you can get the pulse rate up in Mach the faster your motors will run, other than going as high as can with Mach, & your computer runs ok with a higher setting, the next step is a smooth stepper or something like it to get a higher pulse rate

Don't go higher with your Voltage you won't see but a slight difference, in RPM, You are already 5v over the drive Max
