Jamf2, did you lasaer the plaques or did you paint the lines black?
Dan
It's oak mdf, cut with a 90 engraving bit, depth.7, surface top .75, clear coat, black coat, sand, clear coat, top coat.
They do make colored mdf but its just so expensive to buy and you have to buy it by the bunk. So a little more work involved. Made 30 of each and only took a couple of hours in the finishing.
Also my brother actually painted the T and colt logo. I do not have pictures of those yet.

That is nice to see.
I wish we got more of that.
I like the way you have put that to use...good job putting the final touches on that file!! They look good.

For those of you who had asked before for the Harley Davidson Winged Logo. I finely figured out with that little tutorial that was posted on the weekend on YouTube. On how to manipulate and save .dxf files in Inkscape. Therefore here is that image file that I could only send as an .stl file previously.
Ronald I downloaded your DXF and imported it into Alphacam and it is un usable to me as the outline goes all over and the text has a lot of loose lines. The file would require to much editing to use. Mabe it's just Alphacam I don't know. See if others have similar problems....?
I wish I could use it as I do ride a Harley and would like to cut this out in Cherry and use it as an Inlay into Corian.
Boots
See if these will work for you. You will have a little clean up work involved but I did import them into Alphacam with out too many problems.

I must be missing something. If I try to open your copies in SolidWorks e-Viewer 2009. All I get is a blank screen yet if I open up the original I get a nice crisp .dxf witha black background. I went to the www.dxf_blogspot.com and downloaded what I thought was the DXF R12 file exporter for INkscape. Yet all it says in my copy of Inkscape is Better DXF.
Ronald,
You have to put the R12 DXF file converter in the proper place so it will be one of your choices when you select "Save As". I can't remember which folder it is but I had to put mine in a special place before it would show up. Just extracting it doesn't do it.....
Ronald
I use Aplhacam also and it is all the place. This copy i can open (Autocad) its the same as before but it wont let me save it.

Jamf2,
The Eagle (H-D2) is awsum....That will look great with Mahaugany Laminate on Corian with 1/8 in bit cut through. Can't wait to see it done.....and the lines are really clean.
Thanks
It came off this link somewhere. I'm not sure who actually contributed it to the link. I did tweak it a little. But the credit is not mine. I'm just re sharing it. Sorta like re gifting.
So you laminate the Corian and then cut the piece?
