    New to CNC

Thank you bobsch, changing the units did the trick. however I have a new problem; my motors are running in opposite direction to G command e.g. on Z1.00 command the tool is moving out of the stock and vise-versa. Result - two broken bits.
    Any solution?

This sounds about right. Z0 is at the top of the axis and negative movements should lower your Z axis. This is machine coordinates. Relative Coordinates move the same way however Z0 is now set for the top of the material usually. There is an option in some software to have Z0 set for your tabletop. I don't think it's used often though.

When I load this into MastercamX6 it has a black background and very faint red lines.

Its a DXF of an unfinished train I was messing about with in Artcam,I traced it(not very good) and the selected the vectors and exported as a DXF but before I exported it was black vectors on white background whats gone wrong?
