Here's a Rose Engine and some cutting frames that I designed and manufactured with a Syil SX3 and Dolphin CAD/CAM. I just got a Tormach PCNC 770, so I can't wait to start making chips and doing toolchanging production work!

Thank you very much Sqatch!!!!!
can someone do a quick trace of this please. don't need all the detail. thank you
Nice work. I recently learned about the rose engine and the art of guilloche. I am impressed that you designed one.
Have you heard of RGM watches? The do a lot of engine turning on their watches.

This is really cool when it is burned out of a laser, it is set up for laser, all you need to do is program it, has a cool 3D look to it.bow.dxf

I have been busy recently making a large "Lazy Susan"* It has a diameter of 580mm.
I made it so that I could spray pieces that I make and rotate them as I am spraying.* This will give me a better spray and speed up my production time as I wouldn't have to wait for items to dry before turning them around.
I have attached a few pictures for you to see what I have done.
0198 shows a dragon ready for another coat of paint
0199 shows a dragon after I have turned it around to paint from a different angle
0201 shows a standard size CD-ROM disc for scale
0211 shows the Bearing Race I made for the Lazy Susan; rather then waste the center I made a smaller Race and put it away in case I make a smaller one someday.
0216 shows the top & bottom of the Lazy Susan just after I had cut it out.
0217 shows all the bearings and hardware that I put into it
0218 shows the bottom; there are 4 T-nuts which will be installed, the nut and washer are there to bolt the top and bottom together
0219 shows the top; there are 4 T-nuts which will be installed, the bolt and washer are there to bolt the top and bottom together
0222 shows a dragon on the assembled Lazy Susan ready to paint and turn
Currently the bearing race is 350mm in diameter and the overall diameter of the Lazy Susan is 580mm.* If I should ever want to turn an item which is larger then 580mm then I can bolt a larger diameter top and bottom disc to the current top and bottom via the installed 6mm T-nuts.
I have added a video of the Lazy Susan turning onto my current cnc Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/keiths.cncpage
