    Sherline stepper mount hole pattern?

Hi. I was wondering if anyone had the dimensions from the holes that are predrilled onto the sides of the X and Y axes on sherline 5000 series mills.

Im planning on making some mounts for some steppers but I couldn't find any dimensions on the sherline website.

Which holes are you refering to? The instruction sheet for the stepper mounts has most of the dimensions. but lacks the position of the set screw access hole. I could measure that for you if that's what you are after.

Sorry let me be more specific. Im making my own mounts for my cnc conversion. My mill is new enough that it has the two holes drilled in the X and Y tables for the mounts. I was wondering if anyone had the dimensions for these holes in relation to the leadscrew. IE the two holes that mount the actual stepper mount to the X or Y table.

They have a diagram on the instructions for the mount but I couldn't find a dimensions. Maybe I was just lost, their site isn't the best organized.

Could you post/link them here please?

Lizard, they don't seem to have those documented. But I will take the drilling jig that they provided and measure the center distance. May take a day cause I am moving things around my small shop to put in a 6" lathe. ( my shop is in a 10' x 10' bedroom)

Ok, I did some quick measurements using plug gages and digital calipers. I get the center line of the lead screw 0.411 bellow the line through both mounting screw holes. on the gage i get that the screw holes are on a radius of .5795.

Those are some quick checks and when I get time I will lay it all out graphically to see if it checks out.

    Thanks a lot.

Those numbers have been a pain trying to find them. I'll give them a double check to make sure they look right.
