    My First Purchase

    Hi,

Well the CNC bug has definately got a hold of me. I have spent the last several weeks reading and reading with a lot more still to do.
A friend and I came across these great control panels which come with a built in computer, touch screen with a great strong well made cabinet to house all the electronic gear, so I could not pass it up, hence my first purchase.
If anybody else is interested I might be able to pick up a few more too.

I loaded Mach3 on to it to see how it went!! great no probs and the touch screen works great.
Got it at the right price too, which is even better. Now whats next????

    Cheers
    Tony.

That was a great find Tony. I found out about these yesterday from an unrelated forum site.

Did you happen to check out the model with the keyboard and trackball? From the pics they seemed a bit more suitable, but I could be wrong.

    Cheers,

    Hi Claudio,

Yes we did check out the others, however they do not stand as high and are more a sit down operation. The unit is going to be great for housing all the control equipment.
Well worth the $$ with a touch screen, working PC and thermal printer inbuilt too.

    Cheers

    Hi Guys,

Sorry for the delay between posts, just been so busy getting my head around all this CnC stuff over the last 12 months or so. A friend and I are building 2 machines together both having a cutting size of 2440 x 1220. We are now starting to really progress with the build, so thought I would throw up a couple pics just to bring you all up too speed with where we are at. We are still a fair while away from completion but all the heavy hard stuff is now behind us.
Cannot wait to get into the software and design stuff!! In one of the pics you can see both tables and the second pic is a closer shot of one of the tables with the E-Chain support brackets and E-Chains recently mounted.

Hopefully not too long between posts this time

    Cheers
    Tony.

    Hi All,

And thanks for the encouragement, thouroughly enjoying the build. Todays progress was the installation of all the racks for the X & Y axis's I also installed all the motors and the idler arm. Assembly is now complete and its now time to get on with the electrics/electronics.

    Hey all,

Been a while since I have been on here, and thought I would have a poke around and see whats going on. Also trying to source info regarding options for an Indexer/4th axis to put onto my machine.

If anybody out there has the time and can assist me in putting some good options forward and or are able to help me get this together I would be more than happy to hear from you. I am located in Shailer Park just South of Brisbane.

Is the Brisbane Cnc group still going ?? I attended I think it was the 3rd meeting then with the build starting and change of work commitments I kind of lost track. Be good to catch up again.

    Cheers
