Red face Writing Nc Script For Haas Vf

I tried to write a simple rectangular program for a HAAS VF series machine and when I try and load it on the machine I get an alarm
430 file unexpected end of input ending % sighn not found.
I tried to put a % sign at the end but still same alarm.then I tried to view the program on Predator and it was unreconizable script with a g code here and there. What am I not doing right??? anybody??? Craig [email protected]

t was unreconizable script with a g code here and there.
It is more likely that the file format itself is causing the problem.

    Do this:
On the NC-CAM window click on File and then Setup.
In the Extension for Text files field put in .tap and click OK.
Now save the file, making sure to select Text files (*.tap), from the save as field.

The program should open fine on the control after that. The issue is that you likely saved the file as a .cnc file. These files are encoded so that the association with the drawing is maintained (position in the drawing screen = current location indicated in the program). This format would appear as described if you open the file in a text editor other than BobCAD.

    Regards

    Cool Please post the file

I have 4 Haas mills and use Bobcad. I might be able to point you in the right direction.

Just wanted to say thank you to "THE ONE".
I changed the settings in the setup to .tap and it worked like a charm and loaded fine. Thanks again. Craig

You are replying to a post that is almost 5 years old. Not the same programs etc.

Post your question/problem anew and we will help you out.

I think they are talking about V21.. In the newer versions, you right clcik CAm Part-Milling tools, and choose settings. On the first machine tab is a place to set what the extension of saved nc files are...
