    Question 4th axis Post processing

    Hello

any one know if it is possible to change the 4th axis movement from Absolute to Incremental? I have found where to adjust to make XYZ incremental, but have not found where to make A incremental. I am doing some fine profiling on my 4th axis and the part will make about 150 revolutions .. however the 4th axis "A" movement is all absolute so my "A" value is very very high about 50000.. so my code looks like this

    X.0603 A-50672.922
    X.0602 Z.8504 A-50674.578
    X.0601 Z.8506 A-50676.234
    X.06 Z.8509 A-50677.89
    Z.8512 A-50679.545

Not sure if the machine will have that code .. will be out in the shop today trying to see what it does...

    its a Hass TM-1 with a Haas 4th axis

    Any input is greatly appreciated

    thanks

I had the same issue. It's in the post. You have to get a post from the reseller or modify the post yourself.

Your best bet, if you don't know how to modify posts, is to have your VAR fix the post for you. I had the same problem and it involves editing the .LIB files to recognize "B" values greater than 360 and modify them accordingly. It is not an EASY thing to do if you're unfamiliar with posts, but not all that hard if you're willing to take the time to learn.
