you are getting an excessive position error? is it always on the same axis? has any thing changed with the machine? if the power to the amps is off and you push the x or y axis does the position reading on the controller screen change or remain static on either axis? does either axis try and runaway? is the machine old enough for a brush to be worn out? when you power up do you get the message or does it occur when you try and move?

if the controller sens a voltage to the motor and does not get an appropriate response from the encoder you will gt that message.

    Rick,

This problem can be caused by a few different things. Please give Armor CNC a call. Our contact info is on our website, Armor CNC . I am not sure if it is ok to post a phone number here, but it is on our site.

Armor cnc is made up of the engineering team from Techno CNC, and we are here to support all existing Techno machines. We are also about to come out with our own line of equipment with a strong emphasis on reliability, rigidity and customizability.

Give us a buzz and we will help you immediately.

    Eric.
