I'm getting this EX50 alarm on the CHNC2 Fanuc10 control. Does anyone have some insight to what conditions cause it, and even what are they calling the lube pump? Is it the Bijur style lube system?
It only comes on after I've home'd the machine and start to run it. It's been and intermittent problem since I got the machine and the alarm has gone away before we've been able to trace it down. The manual I have is for the CHNC I think, not the V.2.

Typically for lubrication it is one of two things, either a pressure switch alarm or a low level switch. Most common its the pressure switch, which is either no longer working or the pump itself is no longer generating pressure and working. Can you post a picture of the Bijur pump in question? That will tell me what pressure it operates off of (either low flow unit pressure system or high pressure positive displacement system. I work for a Bijur competitor, but the systems work in the same manner essentially. If you have a pressure gauge and see the needle going to what the pump is rated for, most likely the pressure switch is the issue.
