    Lathe code idea for Z

I got the lathe attachment done for the machine and it performs well with the exception of the motor being a little underpowered. I wondering if anyone has done this yet. I was struggling with drawing the clock arbors and the Z code generation. If the stepover settings for tools is the same thing as the stepdown for Z then you should be able to swap the Z cable for the Y and trick the machine so there would be no need to find & replace code with notepad. Always appreciate the feedback here.

    Thanks

Rather than switching out cables each time why not just make two different profiles. One for milling and one for lathe. Then all you would have to do is switch the pins and direction once and open the profile for the different operations.
